Welcome reception

Welcome to NCGP 2024 Congress! Come and meet old friends and make new ones.

The organising committee warmly welcomes the congress participants to a reception at the Turku City Theatre on Tuesday, 11 June. The City Theatre is located by the Aura river, within a walking distance from the congress venue. A light buffet will be served.

Social programme events at the Ruissalo Boatyard

On Thursday evening, 13 June, we head to the beautiful scenery of the island of Ruissalo, where we organise two parallel evening parties at Ruissalo Boatyard. Read more below and remember to book your ticket when registering!

Ruissalo Boatyard, which operated in 1889-1954, was the biggest boatyard in the Nordic countries and a major player throughout Europe. Altogether over 5 000 boats were built at the yard. Ruissalo Boatyard offers a wonderful setting for all kinds of events, and the destination is one of the most popular event venues in Turku today. Ruissalo Boatyard (address: Hevoskarintie 23, Turku) is located about 6 km from the Turku city centre and can be reached by public transport.

Congress Dinner

We invite you to join us at the traditional Congress Dinner to spend a memorable evening in the beautiful seaside setting of Ruissalo Boatyard!

During the evening, you can enjoy a buffet-style three-course dinner, live music and enchanting performances, and take the opportunity to network in the ambient environment.

As night falls, the evening turns to an ”after-party” with live music and dancing. The participants of the parallel Summer Evening Party are also welcome to join! This is an event you don’t want to miss!

Tickets: 90 EUR (incl. three-course buffet dinner & drinks, entertainment, ferry/bus transportation)

Pre-registration is required. Book early to ensure your place on the dinner, limited number of tickets available!

Transportation from Turku city centre to Congress Dinner will be arranged free of charge. You can choose whether you prefer to travel by bus, or if you prefer to travel by ferry through the beautiful archipelago (duration of the ferry trip is about 50-60 minutes). Please note that there is a limited number of seats on the ferry, seats must be reserved in advance upon registration.

Return transport from Ruissalo Boatyard to Turku city centre by bus.

Summer Evening Party

We welcome you to the Summer Evening Party at Ruissalo Boatyard!

We promise you a fun evening in good company with catchy live music. The evening also offers an excellent opportunity for networking. You can meet fellow attendees, exchange ideas, and create new connections in a relaxed atmosphere.

After the programme and the meal, the evening continues in the Lindblom Hall next door, where we organise a joint after-party with the Congress Dinner participants. You are warmly welcome to enjoy the live music and dancing!
